Unlike lesser bags, the Original Artist Bag was developed by an artist for his own use, focusing on the real needs of artist the artist who wants to work on the go.
That Artist was JJ Sandee and without much to do, let me present JJ, talking about his creation
“Hi, my name is JJ Sandee and I’m the creator of the Original Artist Bag. The idea came from my old job, where I’d frequently draw during the breaks, I found that I was having to drag things around in a bag that was simply too large, leading to my work becoming damaged.
So at first I started looking around for a bag that suited my needs.
But really there wasn’t anything around. For one thing I wanted a bag that was compact and allowed me to easily organise some of my tools.
I realised that, I could, probably make one myself and after several nights figuring out how to use a sewing machine, I set out to create my ideal bag.
When I had finished the initial design, I started work on making it a reality.The result was a functional bag.
I showed the bag to some of my Artistic Friends, who absolutely loved it and with the help of Jess (of the fiveCARDSdown Group), we approached factories to produce a professionally produced version.
The result was this.
A high quality bag made from durable materials. As you can see it can hold all my tools and more. The fabric is waterproof and the strap is quite comfortable. I take this bag with me wherever I go and it allows me to draw wherever I am.
Of this particular bag 25 were made funded by myself. We sold a few of these, however the cost of production was quite steep because of the low volume which made the bag expensive.
And this is where you come in.
With your help we can fund a larger production run which in turn brings down the price of the bag substantially.
As an added bonus we won’t be asking extra for shipping costs for this crowdfunder run. Once we’ve created the bags the remaining bags will go on sale for the same price but excluding shipping. On top of that any amount above 1 pound or above the listed prices will result in a one time discount code for that amount up to 40 British pounds to be used in the web shop. Should the amount be higher, it will be split in separate discount codes.
With your help we can make this bag a reality for all artists on the go.
Once this drive closes we are expecting about 4 to 5 weeks time for the bags to be produced and ready to ship to you. So with fingers crossed if we make the target, we should be able to ship them before the holidays. I can’t guarantee it, but we will do everything within out power to achieve this.”

The deluxe bag for £150 is made of heavier fabric and won’t be made in this style again.

Once this drive is successful the bags will go on sale in a webshop for £ 45 (~$70) excluding shipping.

This is an all or nothing drive if we don’t get the full amount, your pledge will be refunded to your Crowdfunder account after which you can withdraw it again from your account.
